I don't agree with everything in the recent documentary that is causing controversy; however, some people that train extremely hard, have recently asked for protein powders and shakes, supplements for pre and post workout, dessert options, spices, etc. I was a very strict Ketogenic, raw vegan before to prepare naturally for a pageant and some time after. I'm not a huge fan of raw animal products outside of raw cheese and I do not like soy products (Hashimoto's) so I had to find ways to get fuel for my body which made me a vegan by default. I was running 5 miles a day, doing HIIT workouts and/or high rep, low weight circuits 4-5 days a week. I obviously needed food so I know how you feel. It is not as simple as other lifestyle choices but it is doable. I hope this helps anyone that may be thinking of going that route. Anyways, shakes and smoothies will be a lifesaver for you if you want to follow a low carb vegan diet and need to transition a little easier without feeling tired and/or being malnourished. The Plant Fusion plant protein is smooth and works in almost anything. The Raw Meal by Garden of Life is a little more grainy but it's a meal substitute and is full of real nutrients. The BCAAs help repair muscles, especially if you do strenuous workout and these are vegan BCAAs and are sold at Whole Foods. Lastly, a B Vitamin complex. Consult your healthcare professional for more specific options because vitamins and supplements can be damaging if not used properly or if combined with some prescriptions. 😊 #vegan#trainhard#eatclean#competition#discipline#healthiswealth#crossfit#hiit#naturalbodybuilding#bikinimodel#fit#fitness#nashvillefit#foodisfuel#keto#lowcarb#pageant#atl#healthylifestyle#nashville
