Today my Papa Smurf is speaking and telling all of the stories of how he's turned several schools around with he help of a great leadership team. He's the real MVP. The GOAT! The real Joe Clark. I'm not in education. I know he's my dad so I may be a little more impressed BUT when you see a school go from a 30% graduation rate to 70% in 2-3 years. Kids that never thought they'd go to college, go to college. When "underprivileged" (the quotations are only to emphasize that this is a label) children have someone that believes in them and works to provide the same resources that everyone else has, they begin to want more for themselves. So back to the speech....He was given another award by the state superintendent for the success of the AP program. This school wasn't supposed to have an AP program and several students are excelling in at least 5 AP courses. This led to his school being the only one with this designation in the state. 👀🙌👏🙏I said all of that to brag a little about My dad but also to say...when you do what you're really called to do, you bless others and your gifts go farther than you could ever think or imagine. That's how God set everything up to work. I'm pretty sure this caption is not grammatically correct but guess what...I don't care. 😹 PS...now everyone knows where I get some of my drive and Type A personality trait from. 😉#education#georgia#discipline#perseverance#driven
